Smart & Sexy (Review & Giveaway)

So I'm watching Baby Geniuses. This stuff, to me, is so boring, but my kids love it. They laugh at it and yell at it. It's cute.

I want to post a recipe for you all.

Lasagna Roll-Ups
(Really great if you don't like the prep for lasagna and if there's only a few of you eating. I will forever stick to this recipe because it is so much better.)

6 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente and drained
1/4 pound ground beef  (optional)
2 TBSP chopped onion
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 can (16 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 TSP salt
1/2 TSP dried oregan
A dash of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 TBSP minced fresh parsley
1/4 TSP onion powder
1 1/4 cups cottage cheese, drained
1/2 cup shredded Mozzerella Cheese

In a skillet cook ground beef with the onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Add tomatoes, salt, oregano and cayenne pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.
Spoon half of the meat sauce into a greased 9-in. square baking dish.
Combine the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley and onion powder; spread 1/4 cupful on each noodle.
Carefully roll up and place seam side down over meat sauce. Top with remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

I actually made these way differently than this recipe, but I wanted to give you something to follow. What I did was cooked the ground beef with onion and garlic and added spices to it and simmered for 10 minutes. Then I took my noodles, and spread a thin layer of Mascarpone cheese on the noodle. I layered hamburger down the middle of the noodle, added Mozzerella and Parmesan cheese on top, then spread with pasta sauce. I rolled them up and put them in the pan and covered with the rest of the spaghetti sauce and Mozzerella cheese. I did not add the cottage cheese or mix the other cheeses. It was still very tasty.
These can be made without hamburger. Just put spinach in place of it. Everything else is the same.

This makes a lovely meal for just two, by the way!
(I am actually considering this for dinner tonight because it is so amazing. I used to not make lasagna because with only two of us, it goes to waste. This is the perfect way to still have something similiar to lasagna and have the perfect portion size!)

Now, I bet you're wondering what's in store for today?
Well, I'll tell you.

But this review & giveaway requires Rafflecopter. And therefore, you must go here.

Start to Valentine's tribute and giveaway!

**PLEASE CHECK OUT MY GIVEAWAY HERE FOR SCRAPBOOKING SOFTWARE!**
(I'm done linking both blogs back and forth. This is a mess. Until I get my blog switched, please just ignore the glitch.)

We are in the middle of watching Dinosaur Train so I think this is a good idea to update with my first post about Valentine's Day. (Please DO NOT forget about ebeanstalk.com because I am telling you right now, you are going to love it! So much to choose from, so take a gander at my post below and check it out!)

"The history of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured."

UPDATE: GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER!
AND THE WINNERS ARE:

Whatever the case may be, whether you are for or against Valentine's Day, there's something for everyone.
I want to start off today with Dragonfly Soaps. They make natural and "green" soaps with amazing scents. I got a Triple Chocolate Mint soap from their "Almost Edibles" soap collection and let me tell you, I wanted to eat it. I did nothing but smell it for five minutes. It is the most amazingly smelling soap I have ever come into contact with.
Also, I picked out the Mango Rose soap and I had a purpose for getting this one. I'm not a Rose person by any means. The flower, the smell, etc; but I got it because I wanted to see what it was like. You know how Rose flavored things don't smell like Rose? They have an odd smell to them? I can honestly say this soap DOES NOT have that issue. It smells very good in bar shape and after it's all lathered around.
I really can't wait to try more of their soaps like the Patchouli Rose soap. (My husband loves Patchouli and this would be a soap he would steal from me.)
Please, when you do order from them, choose one (or more!) from their "Almost Edibles" soap collection. You won't be disappointed. There are way more to choose from that will more than likely smell like what they say they are, but please, don't eat them! They are soap.

I am giving TWO lucky readers the chance to win 2 bars (of their choice!) To get a chance at this giveaway, just leave me a comment saying you'd like to win!

THIS ENDS AT 430PM TODAY!

Good luck!

So early & ebeanstalk.com review

Posted by lilemdo on January 23, 2012 at 7:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Good morning, readers!
I've been awake since 5AM with maybe 4 hours of sleep. Having a baby is wonderful, isn't it?
There's that sarcasm again.
I do love them. I promise. I just don't love the up, down, up, down of the night routine. I'll be honest, after almost 5 months, I have gotten way used to it.

Today, I want to share a recipe with you. I love Stef over at CupcakeProject. She makes amazing cupcakes and I have actually done a few of her recipes a while ago. She has a Buffalo Chicken Superbowl Cupcake on her main page that looks interesting enough to try, so I just might!
But I wanted to share this recipe with you because it is closing in on Valentine's Day and starting later today, I'll be sticking to that topic with some great giveaways coming!
This is a great recipe because while it is great to eat 12 (or 24) cupcakes, sometimes, you just want one. This recipe makes just two chocolate spice cupcakes to share (if you feel like it!) A perfect way to (almost) end your Valentine's night.
So make a nice romantic dinner for you husband, two pretty little cupcakes to share, and end the night right, instead of cleaning up a big mess in the kitchen!

Well, enough of the subtle hinting I'm doing. On to the review!

I'm not sure about you, but with two kids, I have to have double the amount of baby toys on hand. Kids just don't seem to share well, even if you try teaching it. They just want what they want. That's not a bad thing when you have variety to choose from. Ebeanstalk.com is that variety. Looking at their 1 year old toys, they have this cute Super Sprial Play Tower that I think my girls would just love! They seem to have taken a liking to anything Penguin, just like their mother, and this penguin swirls around the track! Seriously, this is cute. I also enjoy the Interlocking Beads because I remember playing with these as a kid, and well, if I want to enjoy playing with toys, I'm going to play with ones with my kids that I want to play with, too. (Is that not right?)
The site is easy to navigate in and is separated by sections. The only issue I can see is that some of you may not notice the little orange learning video icon and wonder why there is a video on your screen, that you can't get off.
Please don't let that persuade you! They have a lot of popular baby toys and even toys I haven't seen before. I love this Baby Builder because it would be very easy for my girls to grasp and figure out how to use. They can snap, pop, twist and pull these toys and the toy has "unique connect and twist pieces." This is actually something I plan to purchase. I love toys like this because my girls can easily learn and I'm willing to help them in any way possible.
They have toys ranging from 0 months to 12 years, so there's a pretty good mix of stuff for that range of children. They even sell go-karts!
I actually have to include a link for this Mould & Paint Dinosaur set because I love Dinosaurs. See what I'm talking about with getting things you like? It makes it more enjoyable for you to play games with your kids for hours, and not get annoyed because for the fifth time, you are yet again a princess at a tea party.
Mix it up! Use ebeanstalk.com and find something new. I promise you won't be dissapointed. I only featured a few things here in my review. There are still a whole lot of amazing toys on there!  Plus, they have a Grow and Learn series where you can purchase 4 items at once for a set amount and it comes with a FREE MacMillian First Dictionary. They also have a category for "toys that won't break the bank," and toys with "wow-factor."
Seriously, check this website out. This is one of the best online stores I have seen for kids in a while. There's so much more to this website and so many great toys.

MyMemories Scrapbooking Software Giveaway

I woke up to snow this morning, did you? I'm not a snow bunny. I could care less. I love the warmth (not hot) but weather like Spring and the beginning of Fall. I would love these all year 'round but I know that's not possible.

It's the weekend, so I won't be on here much. Just giving a short update.

With twins, you find different ways to do things. They have now outgrown their bath tub and when we were away on vacation, we found it much easier (and faster) to bathe them at the same time. Just a few inches of water and both of the water bugs in the tub and it goes so much easier and they get to bed faster.
I don't know why I didn't think of this before. I guess it's one of those things you learn as you go.
I really wish they were older. Maybe between 3 and 5. I'd love for them to be able to go outside and play. Well, just in general, I can't wait until they get there. I really dislike that my babies are growing up. I know it has to happen, but I will miss it when I'm able to hug and kiss them without them getting embarassed.
Plus, I don't have to deal with additudes and back talking just yet and I am okay with it. They have their own agenda on when they want to do some things already, I get it. I see their personalities and additudes sometimes. Emily likes to roll her eyes.
I can't wait until they're older. (A hint of sarcasm is indeed in there, yes.)

Now, onto the good stuff!
I am doing a giveaway for a GREAT Scrapbooking software. I really only had this for a day and posted up that I was doing a giveaway about it. It is really that amazing! The only con I had was that it took a few minutes to load. I am impatient and wanted to play with it right away.
I love the different themes you can download and that it makes itself an album. You can customize them and there are a lot of tools to help you be able to do so.
Plus, my plan is to add things to the album itself once it's all finished and in my book. I think it's awesome to be able to have this for anyone who is interested in Scrapbooking or just wants to be better at what they already know how to do.
This is a must have. I don't know anyone who wouldn't love this software. I'm not a big scrapbooker, but this software will help me get there and help me create beautiful memories.
I'm actually working on something as I type!

I posted the giveaway on my other blog here because again, Rafflecopter does not work here, but I will be okay with you just posting a comment here on this blog saying you want to enter, as I know it is kind of a mess right now. I'll take entries from both and put them together.
So if you'd like to enter for this awesome Scrapbooking software, go right ahead! Either enter on the Rafflecopter or leave me a comment here!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Domain Changes and Coastal.com

Posted by lilemdo on January 20, 2012 at 3:40 PM Comments comments (0)

This website doesn't support Rafflecopter and for some of the giveaways I will be doing, I will need to use Rafflecopter. I wish I knew this before I started again on this domain, as I now have to switch domains again, but that's alright.
I'll be doing something different, that you lovely readers will get to see, and need a change of domain anyway.

But I encourage everyone to head over here to my new blog (well, I'll be posting on both of them) because that is where the giveaways will take place. I'll be using Rafflecopter for them, instead of just comments, and it is a lot easier on you and me on picking the winner.
I have a giveaway for Scrapbooking Software going on right now, and this software is AMAZING. You do not want to miss it!

I got my new glasses today. I am excited. I can see now! I only paid $6.95 for them for shipping. That's because right now, Coastal.com is offereing the first pair of glasses free to those who sign up with them.
These aren't coke-bottle glasses, nor is it a scam. You can pick the pair you want. Any pair. They have 968 different frames for women and 385 for men. There is no catch. You pay shipping, that is all.
If you are needing glasses, I highly suggest you head on over and check them out. You can also find them here on Facebook.
I got the Cosmopolitan Luxurious Night glasses and I love them. They fit a little loose, but that is alright. They are what I was needing.

Other than that, I have to go. Kids crying for no reason. The joys of parenting!

Oh the joys of 7AM

The morning comes early in this house. I have one very active child and the other is still snoozing. I'm about to wake her up, though, as I want them to nap at the same time.

Twins. There's never a dull moment and I wondered last night, how people do with having just one. My girls notice each other and talk to each other now. If I was a single baby, I would feel alone. Although, I doubt they realize they have no siblings this young, but that's my thought process. I'm not telling anyone your child is lonely and to go make another one, though. It was one of my many random, odd thoughts. Trust me. I have a lot of those and I will share the majority of them.

Never fear, readers! I always pull myself back.

So, anyway. As a mother there are things you learn. Things you just tend to roll with. I have OCD and I've been slacking on it lately because I know these two will learn to crawl and then comes the getting into crap stage that last until they're like, ten. I get it. Kids are fascinated by stuff and I can't run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, picking up after every little thing. I won't stress myself out like that. I have to adapt this as my new mantra or I will fail.
I can see it already.
They act like their daddy. They'll be trouble makers.

It's all in good fun that I say this. I know you can't understand my sarcasm yet, but in time, you will learn to love it. I just know it. I can't throw it an "lol" because this is a blog and I am a "professional." L.O.L.
In my opinion, the "lol" should not be used, as this is not instant messenger and I am actually using punctuation and capital letters.

I would like to point out that there are a few things I am not, but there are many things I am. For instance; I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a popper scooper. I am a laundry queen. I am a chef, a baker, a candlestick maker (sometimes), a maid, a finder of lost or missplaced items. These things define me and make up who I have become today. I would like to say that this life I live is redundant, but I love it. I wake up every day and I don't miss anything, except interaction with humans that can talk, instead of babble (or yell at me.)
However, along with those, can come some bad. I am a bitch. That sums up all my negative. I can't be perfect and I don't intend to ever try. I may be all of the aforementioned above, but I am also a learner. I will continue to learn, as I start to educate my children. They will even teach me things and that is okay.
I will always be there for those that need me. Those that stir things up, lose respect. My only issue is the unreal. I have and always will be honest. There is no need to lie. (Which is where I must digress; I WILL tell my children Santa exists. It's just plain cruel to tell them otherwise.) I will carry on. My life is way more than what others make me out to be. I know who I am. Those who actually take the time to care, know who myself and my family is.
You can believe the unreal, but that doesn't make it real.

I decided to copy everything I've written since my child's swinging arm is dangerously close to the ESC key. This would really suck to lose.

I must go for my smiley bug is awake, but readers, I will be back with great things!

Resumes For Children (Review and Giveaway)

Posted by lilemdo on January 19, 2012 at 6:50 AM Comments comments (0)

So, I can understand your thought process right now: why exactly would my child (under 17) need a resume?

This is taken from the actual website:

A resume for a child:

Boosts self-esteem

Presents a child in such a way that others will want to invest in that child

Shows that a child's accomplishments go beyond his or her report card

Affirms the importance of what a child does

I'm actually rather impressed. There were several (and by several, I mean, A LOT) of different examples of how your child can use a resume to better themselves. Some examples of things that can go onto your child's resume would be sport activities, any awards they have won, hobbies, any training or certification and the list continues.

I actually think this is a rather great resource to have. It can help your child and the investment pays off. They actually use these in some schools in Atlanta, Georgia to better children.

You can purchase Resumes For Children here and I would highly recommend it. Help your child better their career now.

AND:

You can enter to win one! I am giving FIVE lucky readers the chance to win a copy of Resumes For Children!
(I am having technical issues with Rafflecopter and am currently waiting on an e-mail back as to what to do, so in the meantime, please leave a comment here saying you'd like to be entered. Once I get Rafflecopter up, your comment will still count, even if you don't go through the Rafflecopter itself.)

UPDATE:
This giveaway is now over! I linked it to my other blog for now and did it on Facebook, since this was not working correctly. Thank you to those who didn't mind the inconvenience. I promise next time, this will be better.

EdenFantasys (R Rated)

Posted by lilemdo on January 17, 2012 at 8:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Sex toys - EdenFantasys adult toys store

Parents, now is the time to put the kids to bed and cuddle up around your computer. I have something great to share with you!

Now and then, we all need that personal or one-on-one time. It's human nature and why not make a deal of it when you do? As parents, we can barely find the time to be intimate. It can be hard to be discreet with children around, but with the Sex Toys found at EdenFantasys, it is a lot easier than you'd think.

EdenFantasys has a list of items for couples, or women and men who like a little alone time. And who said it had to be all about sex toys? They have beauty items, as well!

Their Holiday Handful Trio (hand cream) is amazing! I bought some for myself and I love it. That's really not all, though! They have makeup trios such as my favorite one, Bella In Bloom.

EdenFantasys is a great place to buy items for Valentine's Day! Men, listen up! If you have no idea what to get your woman, you can't go wrong ordering a vibrator like the Luv It-Rabbit . Your significant other will love you for it and you will love enjoying every minute of watching (or even joining in!)

The great thing is that they have many items to choose from. Guys may be wondering what the heck they could get from a site for themselves right now. But I'll show you! You can get Carmen's Voluptuous Lips, which gives a sucking sensation as you pull back, or the Waterproof Turbo Sucker.

Honestly, readers, this is the best place to purchase your adult toys. I want to stress that if you want to buy these as gifts and don't want to purchase from more than one online store, this is the best place to do it. Seriously. They have gifts for the prude and non-prude alike. Buy your friends dildos as jokes (or seriously,) buy your mother makeup, lotion, bath salts, buy yourself some sexy lingerie and edible body butter.

We all have sex, in one way or another. There's no reason to be embarassed. These items enhance your sex life and help you reach that amazing orgasm. Don't hesitate to jump online and see what other fun things are waiting you. There is a chart next to the item you're veiewing that shows the rating level, the popularity level, the intensity level and the noise level (which is great if you are needing a quiet time toy,) so jump on in and see what awaits you at EdenFantasys!

Can it be a giveaway?!

Sorry for the delay, folks! Had a bit of an emergency, but here they are:

The two winners of $150 envelope full of coupons (thanks to random.org generator) are numbers:
2 and 7!
I will be e-mailing you folks later tonight. Still trying to get things around here calmed down, but congratulations!

Morning readers! We are bright eyed and bushy tailed today.
Well, kind of. We seem to have woken up on the wrong side of our cribs this morning, as we are fussy for no reason.
This momma has some coffee and just wishes they would take that nap they are fighting off.
I need quiet time and they need to quiet down themselves!

I'm in the process of trying to get them to take their bottles. They seem to think it's a game when I look at them. They smile, squeal and shove their hands to their face to hide their smiles. (By the way, I hate that they do this. I love their smiles.)

My Lilly Bug has not felt good the last few days. I'm sure it has to do with teething (it seems to make her sister a raging nightmare at times) but with her, she just has flu like symptoms. No fever. No allergies. Just crazy teething nightmares for me.

They turned four months old on the seventh and we have their check up on the 12th. That will be fun. Shots; yay.
So, I used to hate needles. I won't watch my kids get shots, nor will I watch them taking blood from me, but here's a little story:
When I was pregnant, at about 18 weeks, they diagnosed Lilly with Hydrocephalus and ran constant tests on me to check them. I eventually had an amnio done, which is where they stick two giant needles (well, normally one, but for me it was two) into your stomach and draw out fluid from the babie's amniotic sacs.
Ever since this, I have gotten over my fear of needles.

On to the giveaway, shall we?
I'm running out of patience and think a nap is in order and for this, I need to stop typing!

How would you like to win $150 in coupons? (Such as grocery, baby, household, personal care, pet, etc;)
I'm giving TWO, that's right TWO lucky readers the chance!
It's easy! Just leave a comment here with your favorite recipe.
Winners will be drawn on 1/16 at 4PM EST.
